The postcard says simply "Thank you for your recent stay! The Damask Reed." Only, you can't remember staying anyplace called that. You check the address and sure enough that's your name...it looks as though it's been written in your handwriting. This is your first warning...but it isn't your last. More letters will follow. You're being beckoned to The Damask Reed, there's already a reservation in your name.
The Northwest Angle is a crossover RP. We accept characters from almost any genre, any cannon material. Certain characters will need slight modification to fit into the game but this is a really open canvas.
The premise of the game is that one year ago all of these characters were in this tiny town in Minnesota for six months. However, not a single character remembers being there or what happened during this time period.
The writer is presented with three options. 1) Your character has all of his/her cannon memories but has false memories for the six months spent in The Angle. 2) Your character has none of his/her cannon memories but has an entire life time of false memories when the game begins. 3) Your character is an amnesiac when the game begins.
Whichever option you choose, your character will be drawn to The Damask Reed by mysterious letters and slowly but surely the truth will come out.
The Northwest Angle is an RP for adults. That is not to say we are a smut-factory. However, due to adult content we ask that applicants be 18 or older.
This is a game for talented, thoughtful writers who enjoy character development and plotting. All applicants will be asked to submit a writing sample. The posting frequency for this game is 72 hours maximum. That means you will never be waiting longer than 3 days for a reply to your post (and you're never supposed to keep anyone else waiting longer than 3 days for a reply).
