The day after her seventeenth birthday, Madeline McCoy was involved in a serious car accident, after which she fell unconscious and has yet to wake. She has been in a coma for the last year, with no signs that she is waking any time soon if ever. Her body is healing, but her mind seems to be mostly inactive, except for some anomalous delta wave activity from time to time.
Her parents have been dead for several years and her brother is the only family she really has left. Being somewhat antisocial, he was really her only friend as well, the only one who really cares what happens to her. The doctors are telling him that he has waited long enough and he should just pull the plug on her, but he is determined to hold on as long as there is even the tiniest indication that her mind is still working, that his sister might still be in there somewhere.
As he reaches his wits end, a shadowy figure representing unknown interests contacts the brother and tells him of a device with which he might be able to connect to her mind, in a fashion, and explore whatever might be left of her consciousness. Therein he finds a myriad of world fragments, different times and places, with just a few things in common- Madeline is in all of them, each one representing a different part of her personality, and in none of them does she realize she is dreaming nor recognize her brother, at least at first.
I am looking for someone to play the brother as he goes from fragment to fragment, taking his part in each story, trying to find a way to gently bring his sister to the reality of her situation and coax her back to reality and a return to consciousness. He can't just tell her at once what is happening, he will have been warned against that by his strange benefactor. The stories would have elements of action, drama, and even romance, anything up to and including graphic sexual content if you would be willing to go that route.
