Hello All.
I'm looking for a one on one roleplay. I am interested in many different genres and scene ideas, but I have to admit that my favorites are historical.
I'm open to all ideas for scenes and am willing to play by email, google docs, and sometimes IM. I prefer to do para or multi paragraph posts and would like to have a partner who does the same.

Here is one of my ideas.

The message from Diana Lorne had come just one week ago, but I was still beaming as if it had come only yesterday. It had been nearly four years since I'd last seen my childhood friend. We'd met at a border festival when I was only four, and she'd just become five. We became the best of friends almost instantly, but at the time, we hadn't had the slightest clue that we weren't supposed to get along so. With her being Scottish and my being English, it just wasn't done. However, when it came time to try to set us right, which was when we were eight, we proved to my aunt and uncle that it didn't matter. Just as she proved it to her father.
At eleven, I made a vow to my friend that no matter what, if she ever wed and expected a child, I would be by her side. Childbirth had always frightened her so because both her mother and grandmother had died in the birthing process. For the years following that pact, she continued to ask me if I still agreed to my vow, and each year I replied with the same response. "I'll be with you when you call. Just send for me and I will come. No matter what the cost."
By this time, I was living half of my year with my mother and my Uncle Tekel. The other half of the year, I would spend with my aunt and uncle who over the years had become my family. They and Diana Lorne were all that truly mattered to me. For as long as I could remember, I had been told that my father had been an English nobleman who had died in service to the king. That pedestal was shattered when I found out the truth. He had truly been a Scottish Laird.
My mother had always hated the sight of me for just that reason. When she looked at me, she could see him. Through much arguing, I finally found out that he was Laird MacLean. Diana Lorne had married into the MacDougall clan. In consideration for her fears, I had spent the years, which I'd not been able to see her interviewing midwives to find out about their methods of birthing. None had helped until a midwife named Maude came into my aunt's keep and told me many helpful tips as to what she had done in her many years of experience.
"MILADY!" A voice cuts into my thoughts, breaking me from them and I look up "Four Scots are riding up to the keep! 'Tis your escort!" I smile, having not expected them so soon. Walking up to the gates, I bid them welcome. You, the new Laird of the MacDougall clan and brother to my friend's husband, had taken it as your duty to bring me back to your land. Of course, crossing into England had not been something you'd truly wanted to do; you did not shirk your duty.
Your right hand man, Brodick looks at me "Give us your refusal and we'll be on our way" he tells me gruffly, his gaze cold toward me.
