[RPG_Player_Sanctuary] Welcome to Piers Bluff!

Take a trip across the West coast and you are likely to drive right through the picturesque beach scenes provided by Piers Bluff. Located on the Pacific coast of Oregon it is a place that most people have never heard of but that the residents would not trade for anywhere in the World. A close-nit small town community it is home to the same troubles and strife that you would find anywhere else in the World. And at the same time they have the same happiness and good fortune that other places have and then some. You will find every kind of person in Piers Bluff and each of them is as different as the next. And each and everyone of them has their own story to tell.

Piers Bluff is a soap style RPG in a small-town setting. We are a game that is always looking to add talented and creative writers to our group. We welcome all kinds of characters and look for a diverse and adult writing setting both in occasional content and always in behavior. If you are interested in the kind of game we are hosting and are over the age of 18 then please have a look around our site and join on the yahoo message board so you can be part of the writing. There are plenty of story lines to tell as well as some new ones to bring in as we are looking to add as many as we can so do not hesitate to take a look around, take note of the rules, and give us a try. We are heading into a new time change and it's the perfect time to create and introduce a character with us. We look forward to seeing you at Piers Bluff.

Well, Fall-in was a lot of fun, despite the weather and the resultant low numbers of participants.

Thanks to Steve and John for sticking around on Friday night and playing Great War with us, after the WAB Doubles became a non-event.

Thanks to Steve and John (again) and Chris for playing with Adam (our sole sign up for Singles) and having a Singles Tournament.

Thanks to Ken, Gil and Patrick for the Great War games. They were a blast. My Early War French had a lot of "Élan" but little else.

Finally, thanks to Pete, Gil and Adam for the Strange Aeons game. It was typically wild, bloody and hilarious.

[RPG_Player_Sanctuary] Come Weave A Regency Tale!

Regency Tales RPG

Come weave a Regency Tale!

It was a time of over-indulgence and excess, an era when the Prince Regent
rules in place of his father who is going mad, and when the world outside
the border of England is embroiled in political turmoil, war and drastic
change that would shape history in Europe for the rest of the 19th century
and beyond. While The French Revolution saw Napoleon crowning himself
Emperor, the English aristocracy existed in a blissful sense of disconnect
from the struggle of other countries around it. While the rest of Europe
had war in its backyard, they were attending balls, worrying over the
latest fashions, gambling away their inheritance and fretting over who sat
where at a dinner party. And then there are the 'romantic' matches... which
were almost as complex in strategy as a political treaty, and in most cases
just as important. Appearance is everything--but that doesn't mean that
there weren't many secrets carried out behind closed doors!

Welcome to England in 1816, at the height of the Regency period in England.
Meanwhile the rest of Europe and every country directly affected by England
find themselves in a period of change and transition, for the nobility and
beyond. The British East India company monopolizes business and as a result
the wealthy and elite of England can obtain luxuries from around the world.
The rise in men of means without title, like bankers, insurers, merchants
and owners of shipping companies, means that men with ingenuity, talent and
dedication can make their own fortune. The lower classes scrape by a living
while each great house has servants making their beds and tending to their
stables. Regency England is made up of all kinds of people, of all classes
and means, and of all cultures, making it one of the most interesting
periods in history.

Who will you be?

Regency Tales RPG is a PBEM role-playing game that is seeking creative and
skilled writers who are interested in being active participants in our
historical, all original characters and storylines-based game. Come and
weave a tale with all of us! You must be 18 + to join.

Congrats to Chris - it sounds like his typical excellent sportsmanship and general good-guy attitude. Any photos of the War of the Roses army (Steve Spaara)?
