Mare cognitum Twenty years have passed since the fall of the Dark Lord.
The wizard world struggled to rebuild amid the horror and destruction
of the War against Voldemort. It was not easy nor pretty, but deeply
necessary. Over time, with old Death Eaters either dead or imprisoned,
life resumed a semblance of normalcy.
A new generation of students fills the halls of a rebuilt Hogwarts even
as a series of seemingly unrelated events begins to give pause to older
and more seasoned generations of wizards.
Random attacks that grow more frequent by the month, vandalism, odd
graffiti and more than one disappearance under questionable
circumstances are just some of the stories making headlines in the
wizard world of 2020. While Harry Potter and his friends and family get
ready for another year at Hogwarts, shadows of the past begin to descend
on Britain. Many who left, now return.
Come join the wizard world of 2020 as the old familiar faces like Harry
Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley among others try to secure the
future of their world once again even as old discontent and rancour take
hold and threaten them anew.
Mare Cognitum will be filled with surprising twists and turns as Harry
Potter and friends face evil once again and learn that many long-held
assumptions have evaporated while long accepted truths are proved
false. It's not always easy to separate friend from foe. The game has
just restarted! There is plenty of room for OCs and most canons are
available, too. We would very much like to find a player for HARRY
POTTER, Hermione and Ginny.
Mare Cognitum will be a very literate role-play and a high level of
writing is expected of all players, whether writing for canons or
original characters. Mary Sues, Gary Stus and otherwise amazing
Whiz-Bang Robo-wonders are NOT WELCOME

Episode 1: And So It Begins...
Captain Keltos Jonn assumes command of Starbase 245 “Echelon Stationâ€. Trying to put aside his personal dealings, Captain Keltos welcomes his new senior staff to the station.
Echelon Station is busy with activity due to the expansion of the new Geo’van Charter. The Makkus system is now a major port of call along the trade routes into and out of the Kraz Republic and at the center of the hub is Echelon Station. To make matters more difficult, rumors that the Romulans are heading back to their old ways and may be trying to destabilize Federation and Starfleet operations in the Raeyan Sector.
Now Keltos and the crew of Echelon Station must deal with the challenges before them while securing and protecting Federation interests in the region.
Echelon Station is a Star Trek RPG based on the events after Star Trek: Nemesis and loosely based in part on the events of the Star Trek: Destiny trilogy.

Detailed description: HNY is a canon-based RPG set in year 6. It is
canon only through what was known as of the end of OoTP. We play out
things that *could* have happened in canon from year 6 on and so
creativity on the part of the players is strongly encouraged. We welcome
new story lines and can find ways to accommodate/ integrate back stories
as much as possible with existing ones. We also love to inject humour
into the stories and be inventive with spells (within reason for the age
of the character).
We have been an active RPG for well over five years and have a great set
of excellent writers who adhere to high standards and are creative
enough to think up their own plots, premises, etc. If you like
role-playing and Harry Potter, then give us a try! We'd love to see new
members! We've also got a back-up site with additional features
different than Yahoo.
If you have the drive and the ability to craft good Potteresque stories
and can post often (3-4 times per week) to help move stories along
PLEASE give us a look. We need student characters of any year as well as
adult characters who could be either Death Eaters or Order of the
Phoenix members. If you are an absentee player, the game will move on
without you. We appreciate notice if you won't be able to be online and
honesty is truly golden.
There is no limit on the number of characters a player can have as long
as the player can manage them all. This includes canons.
We allow all ratings up to R, but we do ask that such posts be clearly
marked in the header and at the top of the post so that members can
decide whether to read them. We ask also that such posts be made only
when they are integral to the plot and never for sheer titillation only.
Most posts are in the G-PG range. Slash is allowed.
Many canon characters are available, i.e. Neville Longbottom, Luna
Lovegood, Rubeus Hagrid, Bellatrix Lestrange*, Remus Lupin, Blaise
Zabini, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Cho Chang, Pomona Sprout, Filius
Flitwick, Dobby, Minerva McGonagall, Albus Dumbledore, Crabbe/Goyle,
Professor Sinistra, Professor Vector, Kreacher, Nymphadora Tonks, Percy
Weasley, Mad-Eye Moody, Poppy Pomfrey, etc.
Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, Colin Creevey, Arthur Weasley and
Rubeus Hagrid are especially needed for currently active threads!
*Bellatrix Lestrange is available on a temp to permanent basis at the
moment.
A writing sample will be required for major canon
characters. Bios for OCs must be approved before new players may post.
Mary Sues and Gary Stus are still strictly prohibited.We
will, however, make every effort to accommodate new and well-crafted
characters and their back stories.

I know in one issue they had a conversion guide for making an Inqusitorial 'Blackship'...and Faith and Fire made reference to ships crewed in much the same manner as Space marine ships ie commanded by sisters crewed by serfs carrying a large payload of Sisters they use standard Imperial warships...Just the impresssion i have from various sources...

The original Battle Sisters Codex states the colours and uniforms of the Orders Miltant are taken from those of the original Daughters of the Emperor.

"Blood of Martyrs", by Fantasy Flight, talks briefly on the breakdown of various orders. It does not go into detail about the various militant orders but describes in overview the Hospitaler, Dialogus, Pronatus, etc.
WD 292 does speak about the founding leader of each of the six militant orders. Elsewhere I have read that the demeanor of the Sisters within an order seem to follow the temperment of the founder, but I am unable to verify where I read that at right now.
