Hi Traders,
The attached article is worth reading. And, when you do, you might want to ask an important question around the part it discusses loan interest rates:
"Who's getting the interest?"
The answer might seem obvious, though, unless you think it through, the implications are not. My point is, "interest" helps perpetuate the cycle of debt, often making it impossible for the debtor to payback the lender. As such, the lender gains more and more control.
In this case (as with the United States), it's the IMF who's lending the largest portion of bailout funds to Ireland. And, as such, it's the IMF (part of the Bank for International Settlements and the overseer of the Central Banking System) who gets to call the shots.
Do you think Ireland will ever repay this loan?
Folks, please pay attention to what's occurring in Greece, Ireland, Spain, and Portugal. It aligns with what is happening with the Fed in the US. It's an interesting web and a fascinating story. As currency traders, and being more aware than the average person, chances are you can connect the dots.
Be well and live large,
Clay
