[This is not an ad - I'm trying to see if there is any genuine interest out
there still.]
The question is, what *is* a good Star Trek game? What are we looking for in
a game?
We've all seen the games being advertised, but many of them reappear, which
means either they are not getting filled, or people are leaving and they
need to be replaced. Why is that?
I'm sure there are dozens of people on this list who would like to play an
ST RPG, but can't find something out there that interests them for one
reason or another. Or, they've joined a game that looked interesting only to
end up leaving because of some problem that arose. Or, the game simply went
nowhere. Again... why?
This message is aimed at several types of people, namely:
* GMs who have started or are running ST games, but are having problems
recruiting / keeping players.
* Players who want to play ST but can't find a game that interests them.
* Players who have joined ST games that have subsequently gone nowhere.
* Players who have joined ST games but felt unable to stay because of
issues.
If anyone here falls into the above groups and is interested in trying to
discuss what the issues are / what they want from a game with a view to
either 'fixing' existing games or else creating (one or more) games tailored
specifically to our needs, please e-mail me *offlist* (to avoid annoying
people who don't like the genre). If there's enough interest, then we can
start trying to find the answers.
