Title of RPG: HogwartsNewYearRPG
Got an idea for canon or original character you'd like to see played
out? Play a less known canon? Looking for a game that is set up well and
will still be active a month from now? Want a game where new players
can jump right into a major plot/thread?
Whether canon or original, HNY offers possibilities for characters of
all ages and personality types with the notable exception of werewolf
mermaids from Timbuktu who are excellent lute players. Such characters
would not be students, but could appear as characters in an in-universe
book series that wizards read.

Detailed description: HNY is a canon-based RPG set in year 6. It is
canon only through what was known as of the end of OoTP. We play out
things that *could* have happened in canon from year 6 on and so
creativity on the part of the players is strongly encouraged.
There is no limit on the number of characters a player can have as long
as the player can manage them all. This includes canons.
We allow all ratings up to R, but we do ask that such posts be clearly
marked in the header and at the top of the post so that members can
decide whether to read them. We ask also that such posts be made only
when they are integral to the plot and never for sheer titillation only.
Most posts are in the G-PG range. Slash is allowed.
Many canon characters are available, i.e. Neville Longbottom, Rubeus
Hagrid, Bellatrix Lestrange, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Arthur
Weasley, Molly Weasley, Dobby, Minerva McGonagall, Crabbe/Goyle,
Professor Sinistra, Professor Vector, Kreacher, Nymphadora Tonks, Percy
Weasley, Mad-Eye Moody, Poppy Pomfrey, etc.
Neville Longbottom, Pansy Parkinson, Bellatrix Lestrange, Colin
Creevey, Minerva McGonagall, Arthur Weasley, Narcissa Malfoy and Rubeus
Hagrid are especially needed for currently active threads!
A writing sample will be required for major canon characters. Bios
for OCs must be approved before new players may post. This usually
takes no more than a day or two.
Mary Sues and Gary Stus are still strictly prohibited (but we could
probably find a niche even for the aforementioned werewolf-mermaid lute
player). We will make every effort to accommodate new and well-crafted
characters and their back stories into the existing plots AND allow new
characters the chance to set up their own plots/stories.
If you have a good grasp on canons and/or have a good solid OC, ask us
about writing your characters into our long-running story. We'd love to
see you for the first time or welcome you back! We have well and truly
mellowed. Everyone is welcome in our little playground.
