Eighth Pass Fort Weyr. A place so traditional and hide-bound that it would take a dragon-sized key to release it. A place where greenriders and blueriders are treated as though they have the minds of children, and drudges and women are treated as though they have no minds at all. It's the sort of place you tell your children they will be sent to when they are naughty - and who could ever be that naughty?
But when, after centuries of poor treatment, the 'lessers' rise up and try to throw off their oppressers, what will the reaction of the other Weyrs be? And how will more relaxed Weyrs, like Arolos, cope with such traditionalists arriving in their droves as refugees? Can the two cultures ever fit together comfortably, or will the internal conflicts become too much? And how do you teach people who were never free that an open door represents an opportunity rather than a threat?
Come join us, and play a hidebound Forter, unable to understand why his word is no longer law. Play a green or bluerider, or a drudge, learning for the first time that it's not dangerous to think for yourself. Or play an Arolosian, adjusting to these strange new people, and trying to understand when 'different' does or doesn't mean 'bad'. Whatever you'd like to play, we've got a place for you. With a gold-flight last week there'll be a Clutch on the Sands and the revolution is only just beginning..
Arolos Weyr - Vive la revolution! (starts 1st June)
