The Little Sisters of the Apocalypse took a road trip yesterday to Game Knight in Huntingburg, IN. Following are results and reflections:
First, the current 1850-point list:
Uriah
Kyrinov
Conclave: 6 DCA, 3 Crusaders, Rhino

New are the combi-weapons; I finally broke down and cobbled some up.
Game One vs. Necrons:
Overlord with a crap-load of upgrades
Two squads of 12xWarrirors
10xImmortals
5xPraetorians
5xFlayed Ones
6xScarabs
3xDestroyers
2xHeavy Destroyers
Monolith
Doomsday Ark
Spyder
The mission: Spearhead deployment, Primary (8-points) Table Quarters, Secondary (4-points) Kill Points, Tertiary (2-points) one objective in the center of the table.
Not an exciting game, not a great deal to report. After an uneventful first turn, the Sisters blew the Monolith, the Heavy Destroyers, the Immortals and the Scarabs off the board on turn two. After that, it was pretty much just camping on the table quarters, securing the objective and taking home all of the points. 14-0 for the Sisters.
Game Two vs. Space Marines:
Vulcan (in blue!)
Libby w/Null Zone, Avenger
5xAssault Terminators w/hammers and shields, Land Raider Redeemer
Dreadnought in Pod
Three Tactical squads, two in Rhinos, one in las/plas Razor, on with lascannon, one with plasma cannon, one with missile launcher, flamers.
two Vindicators
Pitched Battle, Primary - two objectives on the center line each twenty-inches from a short edge, Secondary - VIP (select a unit and try to keep it alive), Tertiary assassination - kill the opposing HQ's.
He went first, which never helps. After a semi-productive first round, all of the Sisters' weapons seemed to malfunction for turn two in particular and to an extent thereafter. I never did manage to destroy that stupid Redeemer - I did immobilize it, and I had way too much trouble even destroying Rhinos.
Long story short, I wasn't able to clear an objective, so we tied on the primary, my VIP was worth more points than his and I killed Vulcan and sent the Libby scampering for home to secure the tertiary so the Sisters took this one 10-4.
Game three vs. Black Templar:
Marshal, Terminator armor, Lightning Claw, Storm shield, Adamantine Mantle
Emperor's Champion, "Accept Any Challenge. . ."
5xAssault Terminators, 3 Claws, 2 Hammers
5xTerminatores, Assault Cannon, Cyclone, Tank Hunters
9xCrusaders, Plasma gun
10xCrusaders, Power fist, Meltagun, Frag Grenades, Drop Pod
9xCrusaders, Power fist, Meltagun, Rhino w Extra armor and smoke launchers
5xCrusaders, Missile Launcher
5xCrusaders, Lascannon
Land Raider Crusader
Dawn of War deployment, Primary was three objectives plus destroyed characters became addiational objectives; moreover, the objectives were movable. Secondary was Kill Points and the Tertiary was scoring units in the opposing deployment zone.
I won the roll to put the first objective down, and they wound up nearly in a row down the middle with two a little closer to the side I was on and one a little closer to his. He won the roll to go first and apparently didn't want to move his stuff so he stayed on the side he was on. This lead to difficulties for him, I think.
He deployed the Crusaders with the Rhino and their Rhino separately and put the Champ with The Crusaders. He took the objective in the Rhino (RAW but not, as it turns out, RAI) and scurried toward another objective with the infantry. The rest of his stuff came on the board except for the Pod and the Crusaders with the Plasma gun.
All three Dominion squads and both Battle Sister squads backed in, disembarked and proceeded to fry the Crusaders and the Champ. Two Dominion squads succeeded with Holy Fusilade. One Battle Sister squad was left without targets.
After that, it was a matter of collecting the objectives, including the body of the Champ and dealing with the angry Assault Terminators the Marshaland the Pod o' Crusaders. My multi-meltas again failed to function, and I never did destroy the Crusader.
His drop pod crew waxed one Exorcist, then engaged in a slap fight with a Dominion squad and was then annihilated by Uriah's Conclave for their trouble. His Marshall wailed on another Dominion squad and then bravely charged the same Conclave and was promptly converted into another objective.
The other Conclave spent the whole game retrieving an objective and dragging it towards a troop so it would count. It was perhaps a bit beneath their dignity, but it's all about winning.
He did manage to get the nine-man Crusader squad into the retreating Rhino and to get them into my deployment zone to take the tertiary, but the Sisters took home the primary and the secondary so it ended with the Sisters on top 12-2.
All that remained was to see if anyone else had a better score and as it happened, no one did. The Sisters took first and I used my accumulated store credit to order some Dakkajets.
Flamer Dominions were huge in all three games; the combi's are a definite asset. Exorcist came up big, mostly in an anti-MEQ/TEQ role rather than anti-vehicle. The combi-meltas really didn't come into play much, but it was a Battle Sister unit that nuked the Monolith, so I'm giving a thumb's up to those combi's as well.
The Conclaves did well enough; having a second Conclave makes it much easier to have a CC-unit where it's needed. I think it's a much better-balanced list.
The dual-Conclave list does have an obvious, large drawback; only two troops. This didn't hurt at all in any of these missions although it might have been an issue in the last game if the objectives weren't moveable.
