Hello,
I'm Nyxa and I would like to find new writing partners or even groups. I
would really love to find someone who would be willing to create some
stories with me. I'm looking for someone who is willing to write via
email only because I don't have the time or the inclination to write in
IM.
I've been told that I'm a fairly decent writer and role player but I
need to say something in advance. I will not, do not discuss my personal
life. All that a person should be worried about is if I'm a decent
rper/writing partner, not what my life is. I know that this makes me
sound like an absolute bitch, but so be it. I won't ask you about your
life, and I honestly would appreciate that you not ask me about mine.
With that being said however there is a caveat. If I'm to go away
for a time I will let you know. I might not tell you what I'm doing
but I will certainly tell you that I will be away from computer access
for X-amount of time.
Now, if you are still reading this then I would very much like to hear
from you. Yes, I know that I am coming off like a complete and utter
biznatch but I really am not one. I've just learned that sometimes
we have to keep our personal life in reality and not put it all out
there in cyberland.
Alright, so what else? I refuse to do cyber anything at all. I write, I
don't "diddle" myself when I write, I don't do it so that you
can yank off, I do it simply to write loving tales with an erotic twist.
And yes, I have had people ask me before if I `get off' when I
write.
I do write very adult themed ideas; however each thing that I write has
an underlying theme of love, romance and will always end up happily ever
after.
Some of the writers that influence me, some of the writers that I would
love to write in the same type of genre would be Nalini Singh, Gena
Showalter, Alexandra Ivy, Jessica Andersen, Stephanie Rowe, Laura
Wright, Jayne Castle, Katie MacAlister, Angela Knight… I could go on
but I would imagine that by this small list thusfar you can see that I
love the paranormal side of life. Vampires, Werewolves, Dragons, Oh my!
When I write I write in third person via email only. Please don't
ask me to write via IM because I will not be able to do so. If I am
online in IM I'm willing to chat with you, possibly.
Let's see, when I write I write women. I do write men as well, but
only as secondary characters, NPC's, villains, and just simply
characters to help move the story along. I prefer to write in a
modern day setting, while I love supernatural elements I dislike the
Bram Stoker's Dracula, but on the flip side I'm truly not that
keen on the sparkly vampires either. I prefer vampires such as are found
in the romance novels, ones that truly do have souls and not soulless
monsters. That being said I also like werewolves, and other creatures
such as you would find in say Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter/Were
Hunter/Dream Hunter's worlds…
I suppose that I am truly fairly eclectic, but I know what I like and
don't like and will tell you if there is anything that would bother
me.
So as to what I'm looking for in a group is a group that doesn't
rely on each member replying to each thread. I don't know exactly
what this is called, but I would like to be able to create my own story,
find someone to write it with and no one else joining in without mine or
my partners approval. I'm not a big fan of soap opera style groups
either, or forums. Forums simply because I don't know how in the
world to work them, get active in them or anything like that.
Whew! Now then, if you are still with me, let me say two things –
thank you for reading my rambling mess and I'm sorry its so long!
