WELCOME TO THE GAMMA QUADRANT
In the year 2384 the Starship Metropolis was selected to participate in a renewed exploration of the Gamma Quadrant as part of a joint Federation and Typhon Pact accord. As they neared the wormhole following an accident, the Typhon Pact was able to detonate a weapon that sealed the wormhole and threw the Metropolis back into the Gamma Quadrant. With their ship severely damaged and most of the crew dead, the survivors were forced to crash land the saucer module of the ship on the surface and wait for rescue.
40 years later rescue has finally come, only to find a new reality present. Most of the original survivors are dead and their children remain. Some have remained loyal to the Federation and awaited their return; others hate them for what they felt was their abandonment and exile to the far reaches of the Gamma Quadrant. Can the two groups learn to work together and become a stronger whole, or are they doomed to failure as the Federation finds them with the intent to use the ruins of the Metropolis as the Federation's Base of Operations in the Gamma Quadrant.
