Folks -
The Warmonger Club and the Compleat Strategist are once again hosting
our Warhammer Ancient Battles Tournament to benefit the American Cancer
Society.
in 2010, we raised approximately $1,100 and in 2009, $1,200 for ACS. The
tournament was created to honor our friend Al Garnache, a great
Warhammer player and sportsman, and all of our friends in the gaming
community and their families who have battled cancer. I hope that folks
won't mind if, as a reminder of why we do this, we now change the name
of the tournament to honor Al.
Here's the information for those of you who are thinking of attending:

Saturday, January 29th, 2011 - 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
at The Compleat Strategist, 11 East 33rd Street (between Madison and
Fifth Avenue), New York, NY 10016

There will be three games using 1,700 point-army lists; it is an open
tournament and armies may be chosen from all WAB supplements. We will be
using the new WAB 2 rulebook. No allies will be allowed.

Please contact me if you're interested in playing and let me know which
army you will be bringing. We are limited to 18 slots due to space
restrictions, and we will be assigning slots on a first come, first
served basis. I'll need a copy of your list sent via email prior to the
29th to jnobianchi@gmail.com <mailto:jnobianchi%40gmail.com> .
We will have some dice-offs, and some excellent prizes, which I'll be
telling you more about as we get closer to the date. If anyone is
planning on traveling to the city and needs suggestions on
accommodations, I'm happy to help.
