Vince says:
"Col. Dax and the 701 Régiment are ready to assault the Ant hill, again...
old War 12 would be best for me."
Sounds good, Vince. We'll shoot for that.
Don asks:
"---Would it be a campaign and not a tournament? I'd rather play in a campaign.
t's more fun that way."
Well, due to time constraints with John and I and the other tournaments, I think
e are looking at a two game event for Friday morning. I don't know what sort of
ampaign we can come up with in that short a time frame. I'll talk to Mike
eardon about that, though.
Rob Broom adds:
"Scarab Miniatures would be prepared to help with some form of
ponsership/support, as we do rather plenty of ranges for those who want to game
he Great War, and also stock Great War miniatures!
As I am hoping to attend Cold War 2012 as part of War and Conquest promotion, a
reat War game or two would work out rather well, just have to decide whether to
se French, Italians or Austrians"
First, great to hear from you again and I'm looking forward to War and Conquest.
ike I stated above, the available time slot is most likely Friday morning and
ill only go till past lunch time. Hopefully you can fit that in. Anything else
s still up in the air, I'm afraid.
Also, thank you for the kind offer of sponsorship. I'm sure we will hit you up
or something when the time comes.
"Mike Bruck also played, and young Griff Carlson."
Hey Mike and Griff, if you are reading this, do you have any interest/armies?
Mike Reardon says:
"Email me and we can discuss this if you want."
Definitely will, Mike. Thanks for the offer of help.
Phil says:
"I have American Mounted and dismounted Cavalry. There is a prototype list on
he WAB site. Since they don't have the heavy weapons stuff from late war, they
hould not overpower anyone. I can always use the british list..."
Hi Phil, at the very worst you could use the brigade, regimental and divisional
upport stuff from the British early lists. The only other difference is the
oherency of 1" for Early War armies vs 2" for Later War armies.
As for sending your ECW guys out for painting, I've done that too. Amazing how
ig those armies actually get. Now paint your Americans!
