This list is dedicated to Online Role Playing Games. Please read
the following guidelines.
Here members can post and read advertisements for SERIOUS role
playing games, post requests for game titles and links for subjects
you are interested in and speak freely as a serious role player.
You are welcome to advertise your own game, create polls, add bookmarks
to the links section, use the chat room and start threads in search
of advice on anything concerning role playing online from how to go
about character development to how to dismiss a player who is rampaging
your game to how to make your game more user friendly.
In addition, please invite your fellow gamers who you think would be
interested in this list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RPG_Player_Sanctuary/
Few guidelines:
Please do not advertise the same game twice in the course of two weeks
unless you have drastically changed the premise. Emails updating links
are welcome.
Be kind and understanding to fellow listies. Do not flame.
Make sure that your subject field provides an informative summary of the
contents of your message. Those of you responding to a DIGEST, please change
the subject line so we know which part you are responding to.
English might not be everyone's native tongue. Although they do use English,
keep in mind that unusual spellings or abbreviations make it very difficult to
translate. To communicate most effectively with the most number of people,
standard English is probably the best bet. Abbreviations and foreign phrases
are certainly allowed; just consider adding a translation. Also, please
run spell check on your posts and ads.
Please sign your posts. It doesn't have to be your whole name or even your
real name, but it's hard to have a conversation with an email address.
Avoid "me, too" posts. Creates unnecessary email over loads.
Please do not post ads for other advertising lists on this list unless
they feature a different premise or are solely for one genre alone.
The following items are NOT suitable for posting:
Any email selling something will be rejected.
Attachments are automatically removed from posts.
Spam. This includes advertising for a profitable business.
Virus alerts. Most are out of date.
Chain letters
Spoilers
Humor/Jokes are only welcome if they apply to the subject matter on this list.
Also, members may ask for these guidelines to be reviewed, discussed, altered,
or added to at any time by emailing the list owner off list.
