Set in picturesque Maine, Rivendell is the ideal town safe and sound from the corporate expansion of its neighbors. Just an hour and a half drive from Portland it has all the amenities of a city with the charm and tranquility of a small town untouched by the ravages of time.
Known for its great fishing and farmer's markets, Rivendell is a commercial port with a conglomerate of small fishing companies that generate most of the town's revenue. Recently the old abandon Shepard's Island has seen some renovations and is now home to some of the wealthiest residents in Rivendell. As well as the town square's new refit, the Mayor and city council have revamped much of the town's oldest buildings to attract new citizens as well as an ongoing town wide beatification project.
Newly elected Mayor Charles Montgomery has vowed to work alongside long time members of the community to ensure that Rivendell retains its unique and beautiful character by encouraging productive growth and continuing beautification while avoiding the harshness of city life.
