The thing is, from GW's position, there is no such thing as 'official'.
You can do it if your opponent lets you do it. You can do ANYTHING if
your opponent agrees to let you do it, since its nobody else's business
but you and your opponent. Whether that's fielding Repressors, a
three-sided battle, or smashing up each others removed casualties with a
hammer its all the same to them.

GW still don't like the idea of 'official' and 'unofficial' because they
don't think its their place to dictate to their players what they are
and aren't allowed to do in the comfort of their own gaming boards. Now,
there's something of a contradiction between holding this attitude and
simultaneously organising a range of 'official' tournaments where
specific gaming standards and conventions are enforced, but in a
non-tourney setting, its whatever you and the guy opposite agree on.
