That said, the present state of affairs is more than a little regrettable. There's an awful lot of WAB players out there and IMHO, COA is a factor in the demise of WAB -- not the alternative.
I have no problem with Stuart making a few bucks but if Stuart can hi-jack WAB, what's to stop the rest of us from doing the same?
- I think this is a rather unfair statement in regards to Stuart. Stuart did not hi-jack WAB, he attempted to support the WAB community for a number of years. I don't see many people making similar comments in regards to 'hi-jacking' about Rick Priestly in regards to HC, or Rob Broom and W&C.
Many of the WH ex-patriots had known about the dark cloud hanging over WAB and all of the other games produced at WH for the past 3 years. Both Warlord Games and Great Escape brought their products out with the knowledge that GW had decided (at some point in the future) to withdraw support, does this make them hi-jackers, I think not.
And in response to 'us' doing it ourselves. It takes a lot of time, capital and contacts (both in production and distribution) to make games like CoE, HC and W&C possible. It is not an easy task, to say the least.
Just my 2 cents.
