RE: [WABlist] Where did everyone go?

Wednesday, October 31, 2012

Here in the Kansas City/Topeka area there are 4 or 5 of us still playing,
albeit infrequently. At one point when WAB v2 first came out we had 10-14
folks playing on a regular basis (twice a month), but over the course of
time that extended group has filtered off into other games systems (FoW, a
fantasy skirmish game, Warmachine, etc.), but the predominant rules have
been Black Powder (ACW and Seven Years War mainly) in our extended group.
If Ancients is played around here, it is using WAB. So many games, so
little time...

AdeptiCon, a great convention in the Chicago area, continues to draw 15-20
players for the Singles and Doubles tournaments.

Thanks,

Merle

For me it's a combination of personal life and 2.0 issues.

It's been a little over a year since my wife & I had our daughter. At the
same time, I also started at my current job. Both have kept me
busy/drained/broke and left little time for games or painting.

What little gaming I have done has, for better or worse, been WFB. I'd
rather play WAB but both interest in, and access to the game has all but
disappeared.
