Our writers need to be over age 18 and be willing to submit bios and auditions
before entering game play. Posts need to be 3 paragraphs long and posting is not
limited too, but needs to be at least weekly.. The main description is here but
see below for factions and further details...

Shakin' the House is a Marvel Universe PBEM RPG that does not follow any one
strict continuum or another. We have taken elements from the Ultimates, the
Marvel Movies, and from the mainstream 616 Universe to blend them into a world
all of our own creation.

Underground X and Mutant Town are the only stronghold for mutants in the New
York City area. The potential for trouble comes every day.

Genosha has been saved and the Xmen and their new friends have returned to the
United States to face a country that for the most part hates their kind.

The FoH again have shown themselves and will become a threat once more. The
Brotherhood fights them at every turn. Who will be the victor in this territory
war? Who will keep the peace?

Xavier's Institute has been rebuilt and a new class of students trains to become
the defenders of mutantkind.

Who killed Graydon Creed? And what future does the country have under the
presidency of Larry Trask? What is the man hiding about his father's business?
Will someone be able to find out and do something before it's too late?

With the Avengers busy, new groups are being formed by General Fury to help the
United States and possibly the world. Will the ladies he has recruited remain as
the Furies? What of this other...secret group of warriors the Director off
SHIELD seems to be collecting?

In the criminal underworld, there's an organization that doesn't even go by the
rules these other teams swear to. The Wild Ones never went out of business...

What plots are hidden by the Hell Fire Club?

We have a database in the group itself that tells what group each character is
in and what is taken and not. But the following might give you some idea. As
always we accept ideas from our members for storylines and we give a lot of open
minded thought to Original Characters and Canon Characters you have augmented to
fit better into our "shuffled" Marvel world.

BoM: Mystique, Madrox, Juggernaut, Scout (OC), Jaspin/Terminus (OC)
In need of - ANY others except Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, Magneto... ask a
moderator for guidance.

Deathstrike. This group is closed for now

Xmen: Led by Wolverine and Emma Frost. Sunspot, Husk, Angel, Neophyte (OC),

college that co-ops with Empire State University in New York. Same as above but
also several other OCs

Wild Ones: This is a very violent mercenary group that may have future
cross-overs with other groups but generally is to itself. Sabertooth, Cypher,
Fantom X, X-23, Changeling, possibly Psylocke.

SAMPLE SCENE: The bar at Underground X - a mutant club in NYC
(4 players involved in this scene)

Scout didn't mind that the conversation and the big man at the end of the bar
had taken the attention away from him. He'd really never been one to take center
stage. Most of the time, that helped keep him alive. But his thoughts moved back
to the blue-eyed dark-haired man he had become close friends with and his gaze
dropped to the bar top. He never took up as much spotlight at Speed. And so he'd
found himself in a position he heard teen angst songs written about. It was
pathetic. And so, that was why he decided that, since Mystique hadn't called him
up for anything in a week, he'd go get drunk. Nothing better than being drunk if
you couldn't have what you wanted. Or at least that's what people told him. And
at least at UX Jamie and Felicia both knew him. He was relatively safe.

Marrow shot Victor a quite obviously fake smile, but readied his drink with
care and speed. "Here you go."

"What about you," she said to Scout, "Did you decide on something or you want me
to just surprise you?"

"Uh, you recommended tequila?" he offered with a shy smile. "So, lemons and
salt? Or do I force it down and try not to make too much of a spectacle of
myself?"

Sabretooth immediately stopped his tapping and placed both hands out flat on the
bar top. Those around could see the claws on each hand elongate to twice their
normal length. He then spoke in a low, growling tone, "Let's get somethin
straight right now boy. If I were truly trying to hide myself ya woulda n' of
known I was around until..." With that Vic raked his claws across the bar top
leaving huge gouges.

"Don't get me wrong...," Vic stated as he held up his hands, examining them and
began to clean the splintered wood from beneath his claws, "These here tools are
definitely not designed for no wood." He shifted on the stool to face Jamie as
he reached up and flipped the hat around where the bill was facing in back.

He smiled a toothy grin and nonchalantly sniffed the air within the club before
continuing, "Ol Vic here has ta wonder if I tear out this dupe's heart, will it
ruin the other one's fun upstairs or perhaps I should just head that way and
show the special lady how ol' Vic handles things."

The threat hung in the air as Marrow poured the tequila for him and Scout had
lifted the shot and downed it just as Victor's imagination tossed the images of
what he'd do to Felicia if he had the chance. Scout coughed and sputtered, his
head going to the side quick so as not to get spit and tequila everywhere. OH
wow...it burned....

"Good God! Have a bit of mercy on the telepathically inclined around this
place, would ya?" Scout's now bleary eyes looked over to Sabertooth with
agitation. He put the shot glass down upside-down and motioned for another. If
that's what he had to do to lose himself so be it. But he kept a steady watch on
the big hairy cuss at the side of the bar from him just to be sure Felicia would
remain safe. He'd taken a liking to her through Jaspin. And Jamie...he'd been
cool with Jamie Madrox ever since the Genosha incident. He had a lot of respect
for a guy that could keep track of that many things going on at once and still
manage to keep it together. And his learned ability at defensive mentalism was
nothing to laugh at. Scout wanted to learn all he could from Madrox - for
helping others with that defensive need. He thought on too much of a mutant
scale to be able to help most humans with the defense of their mind, but Jamie
might be able to bridge that gap.

The claw marks in the pristine bar top would have made Marrow more than a little
cranky, 'cept she figured Wanda's spell was still in place, and actually, it
was. Just like someone Sabertooth knew well...the frightening gouges in the
surface began to heal themselves. They slowly disappeared as if invisible
zippers had closed them up again. She wondered if that would make Toothy angry.

Of course it was difficult to keep a poker face when someone was talking about
ripping out hearts, but Marrow minded her tongue, assuming Vic was just being
himself.

Cain's beetle brows shot upward as Jamie talked to Creed like he was some errant
juvenile schoolboy. Cain stood up and pushed the dupe aside, "Creed, what the
fock are you doing here?" the large man asked jovially. Among the psycho mutant
world, they both had high-rankings but whereas Sabretooth was an aggressive
assassin, Cain was a merciless mercenary... well at least before he had met
Wanda Maximoff.

Vic's attention was taken in the form of a mass of humanity called Juggernaut.
He leaned back against the bar with his elbows propped on the bar top as he kept
eye contact with Jamie and smirked as he responded, "Jus in this neck o' tha
woods an thought I would see how Mr. Multiple here fucked up things an he seems
to of done a bang up job. Sides I had thoughts a getting my crew started back up
ta make some cash. Ya interested or would ya prefer to play errand boy to him."
Nodding in the direction of the dupe.

Marrow snorted a laugh that she couldn't contain, but rubbed her nose afterward,
hoping it would be lost as cough or a sneeze. His crew? With Magneto in the
School House and Mystique heading up the Brotherhood, what crew could Victor
Creed hope to gather?

"Have you looked around at the political climate lately? Have you seen where
things are going?" Scout turned on his bar stool toward Creed. Having downed one
more shot and feeling the warmth run through him, the young mutant felt a little
more at ease. "You might want to find out what band of brothers will let you
into their ranks instead of thinking you can lead a group yourself. Hell, if the
SHIELDies caught wind of you even stepping foot in the area, we'd have a
hellicarrier stations above Mutant Town at all times." He looked over at Marrow
and motioned for another shot.

"So considering your notoriety, how do you plan on grabbing people worth their
weight to join up? And...well beyond that...why do you need a team? What are you
up too, Sabertooth?" Scout knew that again...he wasn't really on the radar. He
hadn't made a big name for himself because that wouldn't help him in his
purpose. So if Victor blew him off it wouldn't matter to him. But he hoped to
garner some information at the very least. Mystique would most likely be very
interested in knowing this big brute was back in town.
