World Cup 2011: KJ O'Brien's fastest century sinks England
KJ O'Brien's sensational and fastest century of the world cups set a first
upset of the ICC World Cup 2011 sinking England by 3 wickets at the Chinnaswamy
Stadium on Wednesday.

England made 327-8 against Ireland in a World Cup Group B match. Chasing this
huge total, Ireland lost its captain at the first ball but Stirling (32), Joyce
(32) and NJ O'Brien provided some momentum. But KJ O'Brien's thrilling 113 and
Cusack's 47 dragged the team to the brink. Mooney who picked 4 wickets played a
responsible innings to lift the victory for the minnow in 49.1 overs. Swann was
the only bowler who took 3 wickets.


England captain Andrew Strauss won the toss and chose to bat first and put a
huge total of 328 runs against the weak opponents. Captain Strauss (34) and
Pietersen (59) provided a wonderful start but Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell
shared a 167-run stand to set up England s large total in Bangalore. Ireland's
Mooney picked 4 wickets and Johnston took 2 wickets. All the bowlers remained
very expensive.
