An aim all our members share through the Fleet. The United Federation of
Planets Defence Fleet is a community of members dedicated to continuing
to keep the genre of Star Trek creative-writing going, carrying on the
abilities that so many have expertly shown before us.
The Fleet itself as an organisation is much based on a business, to some
degree, with one goal; profit. But not profit in the monetary sense. Our
profit is our posts, our missions, and ultimately the fun everyone wants
to get out of it. We provide a vast array of facilities to help us
maintain these things, from Commanding Officers taking on decent simms,
to Academy Programs to help the newly-arrived simmers, and policies and
guidelines that help us to continue to help our members and really
establish their full potential. We are a Play-By-Forum, in some cases
SMS, Fleet as this then allows all members and guests (where able) to
view our posts and really see the fun we get to have!
We're always on the look out for new members, be they Commanding
Officers right the way back to simply Engineering folk, or Security
Personnel - whichever department takes your fancy! For the Scientists
there is always something out there, especially with the Iconian Gateway
we have in use through our mission posting! Or even for those with a
keen eye for flying smallcraft; why not check out the Starfighter Squadrons?
The UFPDF also simms her own timeline. Starting out in the year 2386 we
are now making our own history from here on out, ignoring anything that
may already have been set in stone from the canon-resources already on
the web. Will Romulus explode? Will Picard live to be an Admiral? Who
knows, the Simmers decide...
