Premise: Our world is just an illusion, a mask over a deeper and more
frightening reality. Most people exist in the comfortable sunlit world,
content to pretend that the things that go bump in the night don't exist
outside of fiction and their nightmares. But the truth is they do, there
are things in the world unexplained and unexplored, some wondrous, some
horrible, all hidden from the eyes of humanity.
The player characters have glimpsed the reality under the world
willingly or unwillingly. They've seen and now seek to find out more, to
peer through the cracks in the lie that is our modern sensible world and
learn the truth, for themselves and for humanity as a whole. Lead by
scientist and parapsychological researcher Deliverance Payne, together
they'll explore the shadows that lay in the cracks of the rational
illusion.
