Detailed Description: Astral Skies is an AU RPG based on Sailor Moon. In this Universe, it is the Sol Knights, not the Sailors Scouts of the Moon Kingdom, who have battled for centuries to secure the Golden Kingdom and protect King Endymian. This RPG is a REBOOT of the past Astral Skies game; we are excited to have some new faces and great talent join us!
Summary: Many millennia ago, the Knights of the Great Order of Sol gathered at Gaia's ancient temple to finally learn the reason for their training, their purpose for being. The Knights, faithful and virtuous guardians of the Sol planets, were united for eternity under one cause: to protect the Cosmic Energy.
The Cosmic Energy is the source of power for all the Sol Knights, and the wellspring of hope, of justice, and of love for the entire system. It is the shining light that illuminates the darkest reaches of Space and Time, a glowing beacon of Good in the Universe, that protects and nurtures all life in our system.
Bound by duty and friendship, the Sol Knights trained, learned, and lived on Earth, under Gaia's watchful eye. Over the years, the Sol Knights grew in strength and wisdom and kindness. They were happy, and the peoples of the Sol System were prosperous and safe.
Only the Gods could see beyond the horizon. But it is not the way of the Gods to intervene in the lives of Humankind, no matter how much they may wish to...
Gaia watched the malevolent power of Chaos skulked from the expanses of the dark edge of the Universe and spread its reach over the Sol System. She watched Humankind erupt into civil war. She watched as the Sol Knights gathered for the final offensive, a battle that waged for weeks on end. Gaia watched as the Sol Knights, exhausted but determined, drew upon the Cosmic Energy and unleashed its power, forcing Chaos back, beyond the reaches of starlight, and saving the Sol System.
Gaia's beloved Sol Knights perished, their mortal forms drained from the sacrifice. The sorrows of the Gods are as limitless as their love, and so the Gods came together to mourn their fallen champions.
Only the Gods can see beyond the horizon.
Chaos had been pushed back, but was not vanquished, for Chaos holds its own place in the Balance. The Gods could see that the Chaos would return, and thus it was decreed that the Sol Knights would be reborn on Earth to prepare for the return of the Chaos.
