I see the argument for pushing HC because it seems like a product line, but
that leaves me (and I imagine gamers like me) a little bit out, because
the "product line" seems to be aimed specifically and exclusively at
ancient Rome. Maybe I am missing other products, but it seems as if Rome
is really the focus of HC, especially if considered along with the Warlord
Games miniatures.
I don't mind Rome, but I come from the genus of nerd whose interests are
more medieval in both historical and fantasy games. I think that a lot of
D&D, Pathfinder, GW fans come from that same Genus. Whenever I go to
Brookhurst I am kind of underwhelmed by their historicals because they have
tons of Warlord stuff, but only a smattering of later, medieval things. I
have a half-hearted project with celts going, but in the end I am just not
that into it. So, my .02 is that HC might not hit some of your existing
customer base as well as WAB.
