It's always nice to hear from you! I hope all is well.

This is just my point of view - your mileage may vary.

I was personally put off the way that Forgeworld handled this whole
incident. I can understand closing the WAB store - business is business.
To pull down the erratas the way they did - well, that's like GW dressing
up as Rhett Butler and telling us, "Frankly, my dear. I don't give a
damn." At the end of the day - GW wants to distance themselves rather
quickly from the historical community. Why do we want to keep the rules
alive?

Another issue we need to watch out for is the GW IP lawyers. Where did you
hear the rules are free now?? If they (GW) perceive that we're stepping
on their IP, they'll jump on you like white on rice. Don't believe me?
Look up what happened to "Turn signals on a Landraider".

Me personally, I would rather support a company that supports us. From the
very beginning, Rob Broom went out of his way to support our tournaments.
Now he's opened his own company - Scarab Miniatures - and published War and
Conquest. His rules were met with very good reviews and seem to be
playable in a tournament setting.

Think of it this way - here's another set of rules that you can beat me
with - while supporting a company that wants our business!
