There was no one design for a ballista in the Ancient world at any one time. However, Romans seemed to first to use sinew for for their machines. I guess that Persian ballista probably looked more like giant crossbow. Again, pure guess work based on half a dozen book I read. IgorSent via Interstellar Space Vox

I am building an Achaemenid Persian army using the Alexander the Great book. In it the Persians have an option for a light ballista. My question is, Would the Warlord games Scorpion bolt thrower be an accurate enough model to use?
I have some fantasy bolt thrower models but I would rather have something a little more historical.
