[RPG_Player_Sanctuary] Plug: Exciting new Twilight Group (adults)

Title: After Twilight Fell

Age Limit: 18 and older

Description: Ten long years have passed since the birth of Renesme
Cullen. Ten years the Cullens have had a truce with the Quileute tribes
back in Forks and have moved from Forks to an island in the South
Pacific. Quil, Embry, Seth, Leah and Jacob all follow the Cullens, the
pack choosing to follow Jacob and his imprinted mate.

The Cullen's have found peace on their small island, enjoying each
moment that they have together, growing tighter as a clan and learning
ways of fighting as a closer unit, wolves and vampires alike. Little do
they know however the Volturi are simply sitting back and waiting,
watching and planning for their next move. When the Volturi next meet
with the Cullens it will be to take what they want, and this time they
will not stop until they have it… her.

Soon it will be time to fight. Soon it will be time to hold close to all
they hold dear but for now, for now they live, laugh, love, play and
enjoy all that life has to offer them.

Other: There is a very small "About Me" form that must be filled
out when joining.

Needed: We have several of the Canon's that are still needed, see
the group wiki for details

Erin Smith is a young Australian artist who deconstructs entire passages of
text and uses the thousands of individual letters to create beautiful
detailed artworks.

The 29-year-old from Queensland moved to Melbourne a few years back, to
study graphic design, and has recently moved back to her home state. It
turned out this wasn't the right career for her, because "I find it
difficult to sit in a chair inside for any period of time…and I'm hopeless
at deadlines so I wasn't very good." But it was during her studies that her
fascination with typography began. "A few years ago at university we were
learning about typography, how different weights of a font can help create
emphasis etc. About a year later, I was looking at the intricacy of the
engracing of a smith and wesson pistol (on the computer, not my own) [and]
I thought about this image in relation to typography then started using the
computer to creat the image. I did a series of these for a project"

Re: [BTSS] SOB attention by GW

Well, yeah, the rules are the important thing here, but backing those rules with plastic would have been appreciated. Obviously their creative energies were devoted to the latest round of Necron toys, but a set of Sisters' door panels, purity seals, et al would have been nice. Heck, just selling the Immolator sprue seperately would have been cool.

You should play multiple detachments in Apocalypse.

Also they could use some rules for extended army sizes at 1d6 Faith points a trun won't be enough support in Apocalypse. In a typical Apoc game I will put down 17+ units of Sisters not coutnign transports or other tanks. 1d6 points won't cut it. Who else has a special rule so strictfully applied?

Re: [BTSS] SOB attention by GW

Actually the first data sheet is a huge buff to some fairly sucky units. It might even work in Apocalypse since one isn't limited by the SoB crap-dex.

That isn't to say that the formation is killer, just that the datasheet is a big boost for 50 points. Removing Rage, boosting FnP and Shield of Faith? It's pretty good.

The second one just strikes me as silly.

[WABlist] Re: Enfilade 2012

Well,

Tell Pat he can put me down and Ian as well. IF we can get some assurances that this is going to happen. If it's just the four of us, perhaps we could do a round robin on Sunday? (surely we could do 3 games between 10 a.m. and 3-4 p.m.?)

How many points were you guys thinking about?

Re: [BTSS] SOB attention by GW

Yes, I believe the Sisters are a throwaway to sell more White Dwarfs. The investment is minimal for GW-- they are printing the mag anyway-- so if putting in a bit of Sisters content helps clear out the metal inventory there is really no downside for them.

That may change if there is eventually a plastic release post-6th edition launch, but for now, it is all we are likely to get.

I am somewhat happy with any attention, I guess. I was really disappointed when the Battle Missions book came out with absolutely zero Sisters content.

Re: [WABlist] Re: Enfilade 2012

Neither group was related in anyway... the FoG players here are for the most part not WAB players. There was a recent resurgence in FoG gaming, and then we were contacted by someone representing Osprey who are interested in getting a national tournament scene going for FoG, and wanted to suss Enfilade's potential to be a part of it. I believe this is now currently in the works and will probably happen at Enfilade 2012.

The WAB tourney came up because Pat Lowinger had been musing about hosting something... but it all depends on what kind of showing he can get. As dedicated space for a tourney at Enfilade is at a premium (Speaking as the event coordinator), we need to have some sort of guaranteed interest level to pay for the extra space.

As a wabbit, I would love to see a WAB tourney at Enfilade, I'm certainly no FoG fan, but unfortunately they have the interest... :P :)
